Your First Appointment
Please come 15 mins prior to your appointment. We have a relaxing lounge area with tea to help unwind before and after your session. The team will discuss your session and any questions that you may have.
We recommend loose, comfortable clothing to wear after all your treatment sessions.
Float
There is no need to tread water or know how to swim as the Floats have a depth of 40-45cm and over 380kg of mineral salt ensuring buoyancy for an effortless float.
Each private float room has a shower, towel, body wash, shampoo and conditioner. Please bring your preferred toiletries such as hairbrush. Hairdryer and straightener also provided in main bathroom.
Float is best done nude, however, you can float in your swimwear. You are in your own private room with a shower. Please be aware of this when booking as a pair in a couples float.
You will receive your first set of Earplugs free of charge. Please keep them for future sessions, thereafter there is a charge of $5.
For the most benefits please AVOID the following prior to your float therapy:
- Alcohol, caffeine and other stimulants for a few hours prior to your float
- Shaving within 12 hours of your appointment IPL (Laser treatment) in the last 2 weeks
- Hair dye or Keratin treatments within 2 weeks due to the salt levels – this excludes blondes or highlights
- Spray tan within 6 days of your appointment
- You can float whilst pregnant up to 36 weeks, however, we recommend seeking advise from your medical practitioner
- Under the age of 18 years. Please discuss with Elements Float Staff
The following will prevent you from floating:
- Influence of Alcohol and other stimulants
- Communicable, infectious skin condition, disorder, or disease
- Open wounds, new or inflamed tattoos, piercings etc.
- History of heart trouble, epilepsy, seizures or blackouts and have not received my doctor’s permission to use the flotation
- Incontinence, or voluntarily/involuntarily release of bodily fluids of any kind such as Gastroenteritis or vomiting
- A condition that may be adversely affected by the cutaneous absorption of
magnesium. Kidney disease - Menstrual Cycle. Please reschedule your appointment if you are menstruating. It is imperative to book at a different stage of your cycle
Sauna
The Infrared Sauna is in your own private room. Sauna’s have a screen to watch Netflix or YouTube and you can also Bluetooth your own music or podcast.
Ensure that you are hydrated prior to your sauna session. Water is supplied in the sauna room.
Your body may continue to sweat for 30 minutes after a sauna session. If you can, it is best to wait until your body returns to its normal temperature before showering. If you require a shower after your sauna session, showers are available in the main bathrooms
For the most benefits please AVOID the following prior to your float therapy:
- Alcohol, caffeine and other stimulants for a few hours prior to your float
- No Jewellery recommended as it may tarnish
The following will prevent you from an Infrared Sauna:
- Uncovered wounds / abrasions
- Pregnant
- Low Blood Pressure
- Incontinence, or voluntarily / involuntarily release of bodily fluids of any kind such as Gastroenteritis or vomiting
Compression Massage
Normatec Compression Massage are put on over your clothes, please ensure you wear comfortable clothes without buttons, or zips down the legs.
The following will prevent you from using Compression Massage:
- Acute pulmonary edema
- Acute thrombophlebitis
- Acute congestive cardiac failure
- Acute infections
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT)
- Episodes of pulmonary embolism
- Wound, lesions, infection or tumours at or near the site of application
- Where increased venous and lymphatic return is undesirable
- Bone fractures or dislocations at or near the site of application
Oxygen
Oxygen therapy using mild hyperbaric oxygen chamber (mHBOT) involves breathing oxygen in a pressurized environment.
Oxygen mHBOT session are 60mins. Please allow an extra 10 minutes to depressurise. A seated chamber, please bring a book, phone, ipad and comfortable clothing recommended.
As the pressure inside the chamber changes, you may experience a sensation of pressure or fullness in your ears. This is similar to the feeling you get when you experience changes in altitude, such as during a flight or when driving up or down a mountain.
For the most benefits please AVOID the following prior to your float therapy:
- Alcohol, caffeine and other stimulants for a few hours prior to your float
- Claustrophobia. Oxygen mHBOT has a clear front, however, please be aware it takes 5 minutes to depressurise before we can open the door
The following will prevent you from using Oxygen mHBOT:
- Pregnant
- Under 12 yrs of age
- Unable to clear ears due to otitis media, sinusitis or blocked nose (allergies, colds)
- Influence of Alcohol and other stimulants
- Lung conditions
- Panic episode
- Communicable, infectious skin condition, disorder, or disease
Red Light
The Beauty Angel experience begins with total body exposure to red light energy with output at the desired wavelengths of 600-700 nanometers.
You can redlight in your swimwear, however, it is best done nude to provide the most exposure to the red light the machine produces. You are in your own private room.
Goggles to protect your eyes are provided.
For the most benefits please AVOID the following prior to your float therapy:
- Alcohol, caffeine and other stimulants for a few hours prior to your float
- If injured or gone through an operation recently, do not use vibre floor
The following will prevent you from using Red Light Full Body:
- No makeup, cosmetics and moisturizer before exposure to redlight. They may contain ingredients which could trigger light sensitive reactions
- Communicable, infectious or skin condition, disorder, or disease
- Open wounds, new or inflamed tattoos, piercings etc.
- Pregnant
- Claustrophobia
- Epileptic
Automated Spray Tan
The Automated Spray Tan is in your own private room. If required, disposable pants and nose plugs are provided.
The versapro has a unique dryer so you can put your clothes straight away. Please ensure you bring loose, comfortable clothing. Development time is 4-8 hours.
Massage
Your therapist will request you complete a short intake form covering health history, allergies, and preferences. This ensures your treatment is safe and tailored to your needs. They will discuss your goals, and give you privacy to undress to your comfort level.
You’ll always be covered with towels or sheets, with only the area being worked on exposed.
Goggles to protect your eyes are provided.
Communication is key — let your therapist know if you’d like more or less pressure, quiet or conversation, or adjustments for comfort.
And yes — falling asleep is the highest compliment.
How should I prepare for my first treatment?
It’s completely normal to feel a little nervous before your first massage. Rest assured — our therapists are professionals who see the human body without judgment, focusing purely on helping you feel your best.
Tips to get the most out of your session:
- Arrive on time and freshly showered
- Allow time to relax before and after
- Avoid large meals within two hours
- Hydrate well before and after your session
- Mentally prepare to switch off and unwind
